See You In Savannah!
The charming Southern city of Savannah, Georgia, is the setting for next week’s VRMA Eastern Conference. Our team will be heading there and we hope to see you there, too! Stop by and see us at our booth.
While in Savannah, known as "The Hostess City", there’s plenty to do and see. Here are some of our favorites:
- Cool Ride – Get around Savannah in style when you step into a pedicab. What better way to see this historic city? Savannah Pedicab offers quick or extensive trips via this environmentally responsible mode of transportation, and their drivers are known for showing visitors the best that Savannah has to offer.
Shopping Mecca – If shopping is your thing, check out The Paris Market in the Historic District. It’s a treasure trove of jewelry, accessories, home décor and bath and beauty products.
- Eat Like A Local – Southern Living recommends The Collins Quarter for great locally-sourced food. “This local favorite with tufted red leather booths puts an Australian twist on the classic brunch menu,” they write. Their brunch menu includes “Georgia On My Swine”, which is Brioche French toast, Georgia chili peach chutney, bacon, maple syrup and vanilla ice cream. Table for two, please!
- Always Room For Dessert – Known for their famous cookbook, the Back In The Day Bakery is always a popular stop in Savannah. Sample their delicious cupcakes, coffee cakes, pies and even artisan breads. Owners Cheryl and Griffin Day will make you feel right at home in their cozy bakery and café. You can even grab a quick sandwich for lunch.
- Stroll The Beach – Savannah’s beach is Tybee Island, about 20 minutes from downtown. This 5-mile stretch of sand includes riverfront as well as oceanfront areas, and all of the beach is open to the public.
