Are you lucky enough to be headed to Denver for the VRMA Western Seminar in early April? The VDS crew will be there and we're happy to be your friendly neighborhood travel guides to Denver!  Check out 5 things not to miss while you're there:

  1. Denver Biscuit Company: If you’re one of our East Coast friends, Denver Biscuit Company is the perfect place to go to get your southern comfort food fix while in the West! Savory or sweet, they’ve got a biscuit for everyone.  Plus, the restaurant was featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, so you know the food is good!

  2. The Blue Bear: It started as an art piece intended to liven up a convention center, but now Denver’s “Blue Bear” is somewhat of a cultural phenomena...and really fun to snap a picture with.  We won’t give up just where it is, but check out 14th Avenue.

  3. The Denver Zoo: Speaking of bears, if you want to see a live one during your time in Denver, check out the Denver Zoo!  With mammals unique to the west coast as well as a sampling from all the continents, it’s a great way to escape for the day.  A ticket will only run you $17.

  4. Stranahan’s Whiskey: Whether you stop in for a tour, or just a dram, Stranahan’s is a great little whiskey joint to check out.  Local, independent, and Colorado-made, Stranahan’s only allows their finest whiskey out for the small batch tasting.

  5. Denver Botanical Gardens: We’ll leave the weather to the weathermen, but rain or shine the Denver Botanical Gardens is the place to be.  With both indoor and outdoor exhibits, you’ll get a taste of relaxing flora as well as ongoing art exhibits.

To all who are attending: we hope you have a wonderful time in Denver! Stop by and say hi to our crew during the conference - we'd love to see you.
