Midgett Realty Sales Participates In Nearly 60% of Hatteras Island Sales

Hatteras Island, North Carolina – January 2010/Midgett Realty/Press Release - Midgett Realty offering real estate sales and more than 560 vacation rental properties on Hatteras Island and The Outer Banks since the 1960’s is excited to announce that according to the Outer Banks Association of REALTORS MLS year-end statistics, the Midgett Realty Sales Team participated in nearly six out of every 10 (59.92%) of sales on Hatteras Island in 2009.

Midgett Realty sales agents accumulated a total of 117 transactions at an average sales price of $313,326 on a total of $38,860,562 in 2009 sales volume. Forty companies and 87 different agents showed sales activity on Hatteras Island in 2009. Midgett Realty agents ranked 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th & 11th in the year-end statistics. Their 117 transactions surpassed the next closest competitor’s total of 42 sales by almost a 3-1 margin. In fact, the four companies making up the remaining top five had a combined total of just 131 transactions.

The strong showing was not surprising given the team’s propensity to be the premier performers in the competitive island marketplace.
